Reiki That Comes to You
As a certified Usui Reiki Master, I offer Reiki not only at the end of life, but to all who seek this holistic method of healing energy. I will travel to provide Reiki Services in your home, hospice, or care residence throughout the Massachusetts South Shore.*

What is Reiki?
For those who are unfamiliar with Reiki, it is a Japanese healing art whose name roughly translates to “universal life energy." Reiki is a benign energy that works on the cellular level, and is believed to effect change on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes. Reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospice care, to complement other health treatments. As a Reiki Master, I am trained to channel this healing energy through my hands to a client’s body, promoting relaxation, and reducing stress, anxiety, and pain. I incorporate sound, aromatherapy, and crystal healing into my Reiki sessions in accordance with each client’s preferences.
Reiki at the End of Life
For those who are at the end of life, Reiki can help with relieving pain and tension, and encourage a sense of calm. During transition, when the body’s systems are in the process of releasing their energies, Reiki can help ease the pathways. For those clients whose spiritual beliefs include crossing over to a spirit realm, I am trained in Reiki techniques to walk the dying safely to the other side.
How Does a Reiki Session Work?
For a Reiki session in your home, I will bring all that you need. A Reiki session typically lasts about an hour, during which you will lie face up and fully clothed on a massage table. I typically use candles, sound healing, and aromatherapy during my work, and will tailor the use of scents and sounds to your preferences. At your request, I can also provide crystal healing. We will begin by discussing your situation, and any particular ailment, injury, or emotional distress you would like me to address. After a brief guided meditation, I will scan your body’s energy systems and chakras to determine areas of blockage, and then begin work. I use a light touch on most areas of the body, and hold my hands above private areas. Depending on the information I receive from your body, I might Reiki areas on your back as well. At the end, I will rescan your body, and we will go over the process and results.
What can Reiki do for me?
For the rest of us, whether we are caregivers or otherwise, Reiki is a wonderful method for silently releasing emotional and physical trauma stored within the body. It can:

- Stimulate your body’s immune system
- Relieve pain
- Promote mental clarity
- Provide relaxation
- Lead to better sleep
- Decrease anxiety
- Help to release bad habits
- Encourage a sense of well-being
Reiki Sessions at the End of Life
For those at the end of life, Reiki sessions are shorter, and typically take place at the client’s bedside in home, hospice, or hospital. Those who are dying may experience pain or discomfort at even light touch, so Reiki is often performed with hands held above the body. Reiki during these final moments can offer the dying both comfort and reassurance, allowing them to let go of this life in peace.
